Why I hate April Fools Day

Reader,

April Fools Day is the worst day to be on the internet.

Left right, up down, everywhere you look there is a shit joke being forced through your seeing balls.

The unfunniest people on the face of this earth take today as their day to win a few internet points.

Call me a kill-joy, but I loathe it.

So today I will be hunkering down to some good old-fashioned hard work, and avoiding social media more than I already do.

But the work today is slightly different.

I've hired a world class copywriter to write the words that sell my clients' stuff.

So my writing starts and ends with this email.

Instead I'll be taking sales calls, and sorting out infrastructure.

Boring. But less boring than the LinkedIn jokes.

What is exciting is having someone on the team who can do things better than you can.

Most of our clients run Facebook ads to a video sales letter, where their prospects are asked to book a call or buy something.

As a result they book 20+ qualified sales meetings a month.

Five years ago, to get these results you needed a world class media buyer, and decent copy. Today you need world class copy, and a decent media buyer.

It's flipped.

Meta's algorithm reads your ad and decides who sees it. Shit words in, shit leads out.

So I've put my money into world class copy.

And my clients will win even harder for it.

If you sell things via appointment for £15k or more, and you want a reliable, repeatable, and relentless way to win more clients...

I'm only taking on four more clients this month.

So move quick.

Stay serious,

P.S. Big misconception you probably think: "My audience is not on Facebook or Instagram."

Yes, they are.

3.8bn unique active monthly users across both platforms.

Do not be so arrogant in assuming your market is too sophisticated to use social media.

That is a bet you will lose.

Drop your email below, and I'll write to you a few times a week. I cover how B2B businesses grow past their first million without leaning on referrals, what I'm seeing work for clients right now, and whatever else I feel like writing about. People tell me they're good. I'll let you find out...
