Reader, What's your opinion on AI in your business? The landscape of opinions looks like this currently. On one end, we have the AI deniers. They are evangelists of human endeavour. They believe anything created by AI is dirty. They believe just because AI can, doesn't mean it should. And on the other end, we have the AI evangelists. They believe AI is all encompassing. That the need for individual tools, and humans, no longer exists. They believe AI can do anything, and therefore should do everything. As always, the answer is far more nuanced. And the truth lays somewhere in the middle. However... I believe you are better off closer to the AI evangelist side than the AI denier side. Here's why: Since the dawn of time, it has been human with tools vs human with tools. And the leverage which creates your profit comes down to one thing: who has the best tools, and who wields them best. For example: if we took three people and told them whoever can travel the furthest from a starting point wins a gajillion pounds. And we gave one a pair of walking shoes, another a bike, and another a car - it's pretty obvious who wins. If you were entered into this game and offered first pick, any sane person would choose the car. But there are subsets of society who would choose the bike for moral reasons. And that's OK. Their life. Their choice. But in five years time, that same person would piss, moan, and gnash their teeth about how unfair business is. Sorry bubba. Capitalism waits for no man. It does not care what you think is right. Any sane business owner should be embracing these AI tools. Not to do new things. But to automate things you already successfully do a hundred times per month. Admin. Research. Monotonous, mindless grunt work. Simple work that can be done by anyone with a checklist. This is because you know what good looks like when it comes to those tasks. If you don't know what good looks like, AI won't know either. That's where it fails. No AI model is as good as the top 1% in a specific field. Case in point: I built an internal AI direct response copywriting tool. As far as AI copy goes - it's the best I've seen anywhere. It writes better copy than 99% of people on the face of this earth. It's good because I know what good looks like. I fed it my SOPs. My resources. My references. Everything I've built over years. So in theory, it could write my clients' copy. I could save the small ransom I pay my copywriter. But I refuse to allow it. Because it isn't better than the top 1%. So I will continue to pay the top 1% outrageous fees to produce results only the top 1% can. My clients deserve that. And if you want to be one of those clients... If you want marketing that actually brings in qualified sales opportunities... We are currently accepting a small number of new clients. You can apply below. Stay one percenting, Connor Benham —CWB P.S. Think of AI as a bang average employee. Not bright. But works 24/7, never calls in sick, and never moans. Think of the tasks you'd give that person. Now learn to give AI those tasks. You cannot outsource excellence to a machine. But you can outsource it to us. |
